Queens

 

Marissa Florian was selected as the 2015 Queen for the Nebraska Czechs of York. She will represent York at the state pageant and other Czech events.

Marissa introduced her parents, Brian and Judy Florian, at the state pageant in Clarkson.

Marissa Florian was awarded the title of 2015 Nebraska Czech-Slovak Queen Runner-Up at the state pageant in Clarkson.

Claire Brejcha of Friend was selected as the Czech Queen for the Nebraska Czechs of York in March 2014. She will compete for the state title in June at the state pageant in Clarkson, Nebraska. Claire was a senior at Friend High School at the time of her coronation. Claire’s parents are Rodney and Thais Brejcha of Friend.

Claire Brejcha received a cash prize and other gifts as the new queen for the Nebraska Czechs of York.

 

Claire Brejcha showcased her artistic ability during the talent competition at the Nebraska Czech Queen Pageant at Clarkson in June 2014.

Jessica Poskochil was crowned as the Czech Queen for the Nebraska Czechs of York in March 2013.  She was a senior at Palmyra High School and graduated in May 2014.  Her parents are Terry and Diana Poskochil of Bennet.  Jessica competed for the state title in June at the state pageant in Clarkson, Nebraska.   Danielle Patzel was the reigning Miss Nebraska Czech-Slovak Queen for 2012-2013.  She was crowned at the state pageant at Clarkson in June 2012 where she represented the Nebraska Czechs of York.  She relinquished the York title to Jessica Poskochil in March 2013. Danielle graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in May, 2012, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education.  She studied in Brno, Czech Republic, at Masaryk University during the fall semester of 2012.  Her parents are Steven and Theresa Patzel of Lincoln.  

Miss Patzel competed for the national crown at the pageant in Wilber, Nebraska, in August 2013.  She was selected as Miss Czech Slovak U.S. 1st Runner-Up.  

The winners at the 2013 Miss Czech-Slovak national pageant were from left Brittany Smisek of Minnesota, 2nd runner-up, Anna Hand of Kansas, Miss Czech-Slovak U.S., and Danielle Patzel of Nebraska, 1st runner-up. Danielle was the York Queen and the Nebraska Queen prior to her national honor.
